Message from Karen Lowry at AfC:

The Local Offer for Kingston and Richmond will be officially launched at a fun free family event on 13th July.  The event will be held from 4pm - 7pm at the beautiful Langdon Down Centre in Teddington.  The venue is fully accessible and within a 10 min walk from Kingston bridge. There are good public transport links and parking is available nearby.

Here is a link to the Local Offer website

Local offer is the term that the Department for Education (DfE) have chosen to describe the collection of information about the support that local authorities must make available to help children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities and their families. The purpose of the local offer is to enable parents of children and young people with SEND to see clearly, from a single and regularly updated source, the services available to local families and how to access them. The offer will cover services from birth to 25, across education, health and social care. It will describe state-funded, charitable and private services, and include services outside the local area (e.g. schools) which are used by local families. All this information must be gathered together and made easy to find in a "Local Offer”.

Check out the website above or contact Karen if you want to get involved -
